NIR spectroscopy and pharmaceutical quality control, work on the European and German Pharmacopoeia
Based on current research in Bayer Bitterfeld GmbH (Greppin), the use near infrared spectroscopy (NIR) for the rapid qualitative and quantitative analysis of pharmaceutical excipients and drug substance is examined.
In addition, the usefulness of NIR in comparison with HPLC for the direct determination of ingredients is elicited in dried plant material.
